Root Rot Destroys
This is what root rot does if some times they are over watered. It just started to look a little under the weather and the base of the plant started turning black. I immediately took it out of it's pot and sure enough all the roots were rotten. I removed all the rotten roots with sterile scissors and this is what I ended up with.
No roots no leaves now was it time to say goodbye to a once beautiful orchid or shall I try to save it. As I looked closer I noticed a very small node protruding out from the base of the plant, this was indeed a new root growing I could not believe it was actually trying to salvage itself.
Always check your plants roots when you water them first sign of any black or brown soft mushy roots remove them immediately before the root roots spreads further and you loose your plant altogether.
